Political correctness gets in the way of truth too often.
Here is what is on my mind today.
All this talk about freedom is pretty exciting.
But true freedom is not owning a piece of land, or a brand new BMW, or a yacht on the ocean.
One cannot buy true freedom.
You cannot get it at a garage sale, or at a convenience store.
You cannot even get it by hard work.
I know of only one way to have true freedom.
Accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
That is it.
Enjoy this day of celebration.
There is always a reason to celebrate.
Rejoice in fredom from tyranny, bondage, confusion, and intimidation.
Remember the history of this nation we have the choice to live in.
Have a great time doing smores and bbq-ing all the good foods.
Let the watermelon juice make your hands and face sticky.
Have fun and thoroughly enjoy all the fire works.
Spend quality time with those you love.
But in the end, be sure to thank God for His glory, safety to our lives, His testimony of love.
That is freedom my friends.
Let's remember what the Lord did, even more than what man has done.
There is no comparison.
