America IS the land of the free and the home of the brave; Oh America, the land where freedom rings loud.
America, the beautiful where one can call for police assistance while at a rally vociferously protesting to defund police.
America the land of opportunity, where an inner city child can become a star yet tells others they are victims of an unjust system.
America the land of hope, where millions of immigrants emigrate to, in a bid to achieve and attain their own American dream and to get a piece of that elusive and much sought after American pie.
America, the land of the free where some freely burn the American flag without any repercussions yet claim they are oppressed.
America, the land though not perfect, has received many, is welcoming of us, offers us the opportunity to dream, to soar and to rise to heights never thought of. America has truly presented some of us with opportunities that we hitherto would only have dreamed of and granted us rights and privileges that we now seem to take for granted.
If you feel America is not the land of the free and the home of the brave, take a leave of it; go to a land you so freely choose and go see for yourself what life is like outside of the borders of God’s own country. Then and only then you would PROBABLY begin to truly appreciate it here.
It might not be picture-perfect yet but thank God, this is America, where freedom rings loud and the sacrifices of those that went ahead of us WILL NEVR be forgotten!
