?While we remember those that died on 9/11, I pray that we also remember who we became as a country as the smoke cleared.
We were unified in our love for our country, we rallied together and those things that separated us faded. We were kinder and more compassionate towards others. We grieved with our entire beings for strangers we had never met, heartbroken by their passing and full of sorrow for their loved ones. We were grateful for first responders and their immeasurable sacrifices. And we were in prayer, clinging to our faith and each other.
May we never forget.
AS YOU PREPARE FOR BED TONIGHT NEVER FORGET:
On this day... 19 years ago:
♥️ 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights.
♥️ 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning.
♥️ 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift.
♥️ 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol.
♥️ 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives.
Lord Jesus, please remind us of who we are and that we are created to love others.
