The Bible is likely the most political book in the history of mankind. It gives the instruction and structure for leaders and communities, and indeed nations to live peaceably with one another and before God. Politics was born of a need to implement that framework. Not invented to be divorced from it. Godly men lead in Godly ways. As do their counterparts, in ungodly ways. Unlike Ancient Rome, we do not have a Caesar. God has blessed us with representative government while we yet remain. We cannot expect godly representatives if we don't care enough to engage in the choosing of them. This is not about replacing God's rule with man's. Voting is about doing everything within your power to install men and women who fear God and understand they do not rule you. They represent you. And that God rules us both. TJC
