Blessed Sunday,

Tired and Undone

We have days when we wake up feeling undone. We have no incentive to do anything. We still love God but our heart is not in serving Him and we would rather just go back to bed and pull the covers over our heads.

We have not lost our faith. We are just physically and emotionally tired. We are tempted to hide from God. God sees our situation and He loves us. Just as you see a toddler run into their mother’s arms for comfort, God is calling out for us to run to Him.

Matthew 11:28 New King James Version (NKJV)
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

There are times that we need to rest in God. We need to allow God to renew our strength. To feel us up with His love and mercy. When we are renewed in Christ, then we can be used by God to help restore others in love.

Isaiah 40:31 New King James Version (NKJV)31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,They shall walk and not faint.

Romans 12:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Do not be ashamed or fearful of admitting your weakness to God. He knows us more than we know ourselves. He knows we are frail and weak. He calls us to come to Him for a renewal of our strength. He will never turn us away.
