"Do not be anxious about anything , but in everything make your requests to God ..by prayer, thanksgiving and placing your request to God, the peace of God will guard your heart and mind fully beyond understanding." (Phil. 4: 6–7).

Once upon a time, I raised my hand in a room full of other young men and gave an oath to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. We certainly have plenty of both right now. Even Christianity has been compromised by "woke" pastors and woke theology and needs defending from enemies seeking to redefine it. So now what? I take all those concerns and cares to the ONE who can do something about them....my Heavenly Father. Second Kings 19 tells believers about King Hezekiah's response to awful news....."Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the LORD and spread it out before the LORD." God's answer to Hezekiah was simple, but comforting...."Because you have prayed to me, I have heard you."

This morning there are many things I'm concerned and suspicious of that I have no direct evidence of. But God's word to Hezekiah should be a comfort to us all.....He hears us when we pray. Have you prayed? Have you petitioned? have you fasted? The elections are not over and two extremely important Senate seats will be decided here in Georgia. Don't you think the same enemies who spent multi-millions of dollars trying to get pro-abortion and pro-socialism candidates elected will be ready with more big money? The Bible tells us that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, however, and they can't outspend Him! He doesn't need your money, he desires humble hearts to pray.

Have you prayed?
