After his resurrection, was Jesus human or spirit?

The Answer of the Bible

The Bible says that Jesus "was put to death in the flesh, but was made alive in the spirit" (1 Peter 3:18; Acts 13:34; 1 Corinthians 15:45; 2 Corinthians 5:16).

Also, what Jesus himself said makes it clear that after the resurrection he would have no more body of flesh and blood. As he said, he wanted to sacrifice his body "for the life of the world," that is, as the Savior of mankind (John 6:51; Matthew 20:28). Had he been raised as a man, this sacrifice would have been invalid. But as the Bible confirms, he brought this sacrifice "once and for all" (Hebrews 9:11, 12).
(Hebrews 9:11, 12) If Jesus was raised as a spirit being, how did Jesus' disciples see him?

Spirit beings can materialize and take on a human body. The Bible tells of angels who did this and then even ate and drank with humans (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3). (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3) But they remained spirit beings and could leave the material world at any time.

After his resurrection, Jesus also temporarily took on a human body, just as other angels did before. (Luke 24:31; John 20:19, 26) Since he was again a spirit being, he could appear and disappear from one moment to the next. Moreover, Jesus did not have the same body every time after the resurrection. (Luke 24:30, 31, 35; John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7) Even his best friends did not recognize him by his voice or appearance, but only by what he said or did.

When Jesus appeared to the apostle Thomas, he even took on a body where the wounds on his hands were visible. This strengthened the faith of Thomas, who still doubted whether Jesus had really been resurrected. (John 20:24-29)
