A few minutes ago, I finished watching Senator Ted Cruz grill Twitter in a Senate hearing, and Twitter and Face Book keep stating that they aren't Publishers, but are a platform for allowing discussions about subjects of interest to the public.
Through a little research, I found information that, through an old memory from my earlier years in School, led me to the ages old system of Speaker's Corner, originating in Hyde Park, of London England where a person could stand up, and speak out on any subject without the worry of being silenced.
It is my opinion that if Social Media are not Publishers, then they are a digital version of a Speaker's Corner.
