November 18, 2020, Don't Be LAZY Be Working and Productive
Lord, there are so many people in my country that take advantage of the welfare system that can work but choose to take from me and all that work to keep money flowing for them. Some day Father, I know there will be a reward for me as I have been working all my life to make your world a better place to live. May I always be diligent in serving you, Father, and never complain. Thank you, Father, for the desire to work and be productive. Thank you for the Spirit of life you have given me to complete these tasks for you and those you have given me to Love and to help achieve their Joy to love you with all their heart. I thank you and praise you in the blessed name of Jesus. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-11 (NLT) Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: "Those unwilling to work will not get to eat." Yet we hear that some of you live sedentary lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people's business. Proverbs 6:6-11 (NLT) Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a bit more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. Proverbs 12:24 (NLT) Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.
