OPINION
I'm going to admit it, right here, right now. Those of us on the Right, well, we're guilty. We're seriously guilty and we have an immense level of explaining to do to our true, real Democrat friends on the Left.
We, the Right, speak daily about how the Democrat Party of old has vanished and has morphed into some sort of a Progressive, Liberal, Socialist New World Order Party hybrid, which, for most of the New Democrat Party members is absolutely true. There are although, originalist Democrats out there, somewhere, I'm sure. They're just incredibly difficult to identify with the AOC's, the Bernie's, Tlaib's and Omar's demanding center stage.
But as I watch long-time Republican Party stalwarts standing in front of the cameras, babbling about concede this and never-Trump that, I'm beginning to realize something is amiss on the Right. Deep-State Republicans are coming out of the woodworks, trying to get the POTUS to drop the lawsuits and give up on the election. It's almost as if they're terrified that they would be losing something significant should POTUS win his lawsuits. I believe they're worried about losing the lucrative gig of the business of politics.
For decades, I thought those stand up, solid, conservative icons had the backs of "we, the people". It appears I was dead wrong. They don't stand for America and the Constitution, they stand for what is most advantageous for them. Or worse, they're closet Progressives or R.I.N.O.'s. They've become political Judas's. To them, it's more important to keep their political positions and to keep the financial floodgates producing. They have retirements to think about!
Many out there will be quick to say, "you're just now realizing this?" Well, yeah, I am. I may have known deep inside for a while now, but the part of me that wants to see the "good" in all politicians wasn't ready to admit the Republican Party was fraught with lurking deep-state double agents.
These Republican operatives are easily identified as those that have recently began to encourage POTUS how he should just give up and concede the election. And just three weeks ago, these are the very same mouthpieces that stood beside him and said, "do not concede"! Even with the possibility of the largest instance of voter and election fraud in the history of the United States, they say "move on Mr. President, it's over". Hey guys, have you ever heard about the Revolutionary War? Incredible odds can be overcome.
This epiphany came to me this morning as I read a story of yet another Republican turncoat, Paul Ryan, urging POTUS to lay down and die. So, it's very apparent, both the Reagan Republican Party and the JFK Democrat Party have disappeared into history. We are truly moving into different directions on both the Left and the Right.
So, I apologize to my friends on the Left for the frequent finger pointing about how your party members have morphed into something different, when all along, members of my own party have been slyly following suit.
The realization that the old, once proud Republican Party has "given up the ghost" is an incredibly hard pill to swallow. Even with having to work through a gut-punched revelation, it's very beneficial to be able to identify those adversaries that for years have been taking up space on our couch.
