Yesterday, I managed to get some things done. I canned 6 pints of ugly chicken, and one pint of ground chuck to fill the canner.
I pattied out four pounds of ground chuck into my Tupperware hamburger patty things, divided five pounds into one-pound packs (I bought two five-pound chubs) for the freezer, and set one pound aside for dinner.
Mr. Holstein’s employer gave us a 16 pound cooked boneless ham for Christmas. I cut what wasn’t used for Christmas dinner into three two-pound pieces, and sliced up three pounds, dividing them across three freezer bags with scraps put up for seasoning.
