For those of you who are wondering about how the Founders' Mission is going to work, I will be seeking legal advice as to whether this is formed as a non-profit 501(C)3, a 501(C)4,or other. By going by either of the former, Founders' Mission will be hobbled by the rules governing each, just different hobbles. Hillsdale College provides some guidance as they refuse to accept taxpayer dollars because the strings attached, reminiscent of what happened to Gulliver in Gulliver's Travels. Those strings are designed to bind. The downside of not going with a 501(C)3 or (C)4 is whether the financial support can be generated without donors being able to tax deductions for their donations. There is a reason why most organizations of this nature follow this path. Yes, I am an Idealist. But, I am a pragmatic idealist.
The future of this Country depends on whether the people are motivated to continue down the path that the Founders set for us. The approach of the Founders' Mission is to enable people to come together and focus on correcting our course. We need to pull this Country back from the abyss. In short, this is a platform where one who is Pro-Choice is expected to work shoulder to shoulder with one who is Pro-Life, Jew with Gentile, or Atheist, and so on. We must no longer allow ourselves the luxury of division. That is a game designed to destroy what we have and we are fools if we engage in that game.
Over the years, I have seen too many efforts sidelined or sabotaged by Leftists. It happens. Decades ago, Leftists hijacked the Democratic Party, then they hijacked the Liberals' label and took control of our education system. Now, they are infiltrating the boardrooms of our Corporations. There is a significant difference between Liberalism and Leftism. Liberalism believes that the injustices within our society can be answered by government programs. Conservatives look to the private sector for those solutions. Leftists on the other hand, despise everything that the Founders set up for us and wish for us to fail. Founders' Mission is structured in such a manner as to prevent being hijacked.
The United States became a thorn in the side of the world's most powerful elite in 1776 and we have remained so to this day. Leftists are the handmaidens to those elite, tasked with removing that thorn.
For now, and possibly never, Founders' Mission is not tax deductible. We need legal advice from an attorney familiar with non-profits, as well as financial advice from a CPA with a similar background. Once that is accomplished, we need a web page designer capable of putting together an internet presence. For now, this is going to have to be offered on a Pro Bono basis or as a donation of time to the service of the Founders' Mission.
