SIX FLAGS OVER JESUS
It seems the modern Church, not all, but many, have developed an entertainment mentality. In the book of Acts, the focus of the body of Christ was people. Remember, those who claimed Jesus at the beginning were being killed for their faith. Persecution always strengthens the church. But today, it's all about the coffee bars, the Circus Kids Church, the awesome teen arcades, smoke and cool lights, loud bands, and hip looking preachers. The church has become a "Come to our church and really be amazed!" Instead of the biblical mandate to GO OUT of the building and make a difference in people's lives. The gospel has become merchandise and fodder for the famous. Instead of bread and water for the true hungry and thirsty souls that wait for Hope. The church was never meant to be a Six Flags Over Jesus.
But a group of people that went out into the world and turned it upside down because they had the truth of the gospel. You can be set free from your sins and addictions. Demons can flee. Disease will fall away. You can be forgiven of all your sins, no matter how grotesque! Jesus is the answer. Come to the Cross and die! Die to your sin and selfishness. Repent and turn to Jesus. He is your only HOPE. The church needs to get back to the main THING! And the main THING is the gospel of Jesus! #gospeltell
