“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2 (KJV)
“Stop masquerading in the habiliments of this world, it's mannerisms, speech expressions, styles, habits.” – Wuest
This is the time of the year when men and women re-evaluate themselves, especially with regard to their bodies. Then, they make New Year resolutions and unrealistic expectations that they cannot possibly keep. They want to lose weight or wish that they had the body of the famous supermodel or bodybuilder. There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel better about ourselves, especially if it will improve our physical health. But what about our SPIRITUAL HEALTH?
We should not be driven by the ways of this world. Instead, we should start thinking spiritually. Everything is furnished to us through the cross, and it is obtained by faith and not works.
This lifestyle can happen for every believer through the Holy Spirit, a lifestyle of progressive holiness.
