With flagrant violations of the Constitution being exhibited by Congress, some have suggested that it may be time to look into the Article V Constitutional Congress.
I've heard variations of "never waste a crisis" and it seems that we may be in the midst of several. That said, is gutting the US Constitution the answer?
To me, that sounds like Hegelian Dialectic.
It could result in removing much of the wisdom from Constitution, while creating new loopholes intentionally designed by the Left and communists to go undetected by true patriots, conservatives, and constitutionalists... as Nancy Pelosi said about the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare): We'll have to pass it to see what's in there.
The book is called "Far From Unworkable" by Timothy J. Dake, copyright 2017, 833 pages.
I purchased and read this tome at the time, and in response to a recent inquiry, searched and located it among my bookshelves. There are sticky notes on pages 431 & 436. Also a note which summarizes and condenses my impressions some time after reading:
"Although I respect the extensive research and the work to painstakingly lay out his findings for us all,
1) I find he relies too much on citing TRADITION, which is not a legally enforceable limit.
2) All involved would need to be intimately familiar with Dake's research and able to recall fine details off of the top of their heads, to begin to exert the control and oversight which he hypothesizes as possible.
3) Some states have fallen to supporting the idea, only later to fully process what citizens are telling them."
My response to an Article V Con-Con is a firm "no."
Has anyone else read the book?
