Here's my rant for the day.

How many churches mentioned the coming inauguration this morning? How many asked Christians to pray for the new president? What, didn't you know that we are supposed to pray for our leaders? All of them, not just the ones we like?

How many churches mentioned anything about the repression of first ammendment rights or how many people have been censured because they hold an opposing view about an issue? Why does that matter in church you say? Because that is how a fascist state begins, with the removing of rights and the demonizing of those that don't agree with the main stream.

America is/was the beacon for Christianity throughout the world but now our churches have become so scared of offending someone (losing members and funding) that they refuse to talk about anything controversial. Members need to know where we are in history and be sober minded about the challenges facing them.

Good promised that his discipline would start with his own family which means, as Joshua said, it's time to choose whom we will serve, man or God.

The leaders of our church should be preparing the flock to stand against the wolf by making sure they know what time it is. Not encouraging them to play ostrich.
