Cincinnati Chili
Never have eaten this before. Every time I see it on cooking shows (Diners Drive-Ins & Dives), or at a restaurant, I cringed. It just looked like a real gut buster. Mostly, because they always look like they have piled at least 8ounces of cheese over the top. I found a simple version not overloaded with so many ingredients and I knew I could live without a mountain of cheese on top.
I had planned a nice Arugula salad to go
along, but this went together so quickly that I did not have time. As it ended up, I was happy enough without the salad and sufficiently satisfied. Tomorrow, the salad will be enjoyed with some leftovers of the Cincinnati Chili .
The glass of wine was the remainder of a bottle of Dave Harvey Malbec, that I had opened a week ago. I removed the cork fearing it might be expensive vinegar...but it was even BETTER than when I drank it a week ago. So smooth with lots of flavors Lingering in my mouth. Now, I wish I had more of this wine. I am a REALLY BIG Malbec fan and this one was great!
