"45From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. 46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” - Matthew 27:45-46

[then, after He cried out, saying "I thirst," they gave Him a sponge filled with vinegar-water...]

"50When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He yielded up His spirit. 51At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.
52 The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. 53After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people.…" Matthew 27:50-53

It may feel like God is drawn back away from us, but He is right there nearby, waiting for us to call out to Him, just like Jesus did before giving up His spirit. Jesus won a battle that day that echoed throughout all of time and throughout all dimensions/heavens. You can't get to the Father unless you go to Jesus. He is the Door. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Jesus died on the cross, laid in a tomb for three days, then in the morning on the 3rd day, He rose from the dead, as according to the scriptures. If you believe in God, believe in Jesus, whom God sent here to the earth to reconcile us to Himself.
