A Moment with the Master
Reading through the Bible one chapter a day
Reading today from 2 Chronicles 14

2 Chronicles 14:11 "And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee."

When you are standing on the Lord's side, fighting in His battle and He is the captain of your army, not you, then you can pray a prayer that ends with "let no man prevail against thee". For most of us though, our prayers end with "let no one prevail against me." It would be good for us to listen to our prayers and make sure that we are aligning ourselves with God's purposes instead of praying that God would align with ours.
