What with all the hullabaloo about Dr. Seuss, I sat down and read The Sneetches today. What a shame that anyone, young or old, might be deprived of the valuable lessons to be derived from this insightful tale. First, and foremost, we are all the same deep down. Color of skin makes no difference. Size and shape of our eyes or nose makes no difference. We are all human beings, each unique in their own way, and each individual is worthy of love and respect. Those points are pretty obvious. But the thing that really struck me was that there was an individual, Sylvester McMonkey McBean, that was taking advantage of the supposed differences for his own personal gain. And he kept taking advantage until there was nothing left. Is that what our great nation is headed for? Are we going to allow the corrupt leftist media to continue to divide us by creating mistrust and hatred? I guarantee you that most people with different opinions and appearances would be able to get along, given the chance. But we are being twisted and manipulated by unseen forces. People - we need to look behind the curtain and see who is orchestrating all the unrest in our nation. Someone, or some group, is profiting by all this hatred that is being spewed. Praying for revival and a return to our great God. #shinelightonthedark
