Expect A Harvest of Blessings
by Linda Lariscy, "Life Lines"

Stop dwelling on past events and brooding over times gone by. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18-19).

Behold, I am doing a new thing! By faith, you can see it now! It is springing up! The question is, can you or are you willing to see it? What is the new thing God is doing for you? He is making a way for you in the wilderness of your life. Look for His novel approach where you have experienced a dearth of joy and crushing disappointment.
The time to believe in a harvest of rich blessings is now. Examine the tender buds on the trees that surround you. They are telling the story of redemption. The glory of Spring reminds us of the words of our Savior “Behold, I make all things new.” He has redeemed us, and He can resurrect us from the mistakes and heartaches of the past. But we must be willing to obey Him as he gives us instructions for our fresh start.
Pay attention to what God is doing in your life. Open yourself up to move in different ways and clean out the old that makes you stale and unproductive. No one can escape the sorrows of life. Suffering can make you a wiser, more compassionate person but don’t allow it to define you. Is emotional pain enslaving you to the past and holding you back? Decide instead to use it to boost you to a higher level and new direction in God’s great plan for your life.
