Chauncey DeVega of Salon says “Too many Americans love guns more than they do other human beings.” If you love human beings and freedom, then you can love guns too. That is why the 2A says that owning (keeping) and using (bearing) arms is necessary for the “…security of the free State…” On the other hand, if you don’t love people and want them to be ruled over… then you want to take away people’s ability to implement a free State and protect themselves.
