Satan Is A Counterfeit Of God - Part II
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves
into the apostles of Christ.And no marvel; for Satan himself is
transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his
ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end
shall be according to their works." II Corinthians 11:13-15
In each of the sub-topics below, part (a) will show a characteristic of
God and part (b) will show what Satan's counterfeit is.
2. 3-1/2 years
1. Jesus' earthly ministry was 3 1/2 years - In Daniel 9:27 it says "And
he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of
the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for
the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until
the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
From this passage we know from Daniel chapter 9, the 70 weeks, each week
is 7 years and in the midst is 3 1/2 years. We know this also in history.
2. Antichrist - The antichrist will have a false peace for the first 3 1/2
years. In Daniel 8:23-26 it says "23 And in the latter time of their
kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce
countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his
power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy
wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise,and shall destroy the mighty
and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft
to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by
peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of
princes; but he shall be broken without hand. 26 And the vision of the
evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the
vision; for it shall be for many days." (From our post titled "Which
Trumpet Is It? Part V" it shows the first 3 1/2 years of the antichrist in
relationship to the two witnesses).
