In one of David Barton's (WallBuilders) videos I watched a few days ago, he mentioned that approximately 70,000 individuals had been "deplatformed" in that notorious social media purge done recently by the various Big Tech companies. I was one of those hapless few who received the axe by Facebook (a "permanent" and "irreversible" decision by them, i.e., without recourse).

I suppose I should count myself as fortunate to be included among that number; I also wear as a backhanded badge of honor the fact that the website I helped administer for a dozen years or so--"The Black Robe Regiment" on the Ning platform--finally made it onto the SPLC's infamous "hate groups" list. (That BRR website has also since been deactivated.)

This brings to mind those 7,000 men in Israel, mentioned by God in the Old Testament, whom He had "reserved for Myself--all whose knees have not bowed to Baal" "...and whose mouths have not kissed him" (Romans 11:4; cf I Kings 19:18). When faced with entering into God's Kingdom through a narrow or wide portal, the narrower one is always the best choice (Matthew 7:13; Luke 13:24). It seems the same would apply to one's choice of social media outlets as well. ?
