Scam Alert: I recieved a call from the 518 area code: The recorded message informed me that my Social Security account was would be turned off because there were possible fraudulent claims filed in Texas. I had to push one to be connected to a Social Security rep to answer questions.
Social Security does not work this way. They would send a letter to notify you. They would NEVER call you, Please pass the word so no one gets taken by this scam.
