For all who know a veteran. There is an organization called Honor Flight that supports our service people.They periodically schedule flights to Washington D.C. They use commercial charter and fill the aircraft with veterans and their support person.
The sendoff and reception back at home is newsworthy and quite frankly tear worthy.
