For those interested in additional opportunities to help your fellows out around the world, I encourage you to check out my work supporting the education of 56 children in Uganda (https://usocre.com/).
Since launch in July of 2020, we have supported these children with educational enrollment, school supplies, and medical care. Additionally, we were also able to help a few of the elderly and those with disabilities in surrounding communities with some of the basic necessities of life. Past contributions have helped us to donate a total of $4,660 to these critical efforts. You can read more about our past activities and results here: https://usocre.com/blog.
As we move into making this a sustainable, long term effort in 2022 and beyond, our current goal is to raise about $2,100 every four months to cover educational costs, materials and clothing for the children as well as some targeted help to those in the community in desperate need of some basic supports. We were successful in meeting our January target, but with our next due date of 5/1/22, I am still needing to raise another $1,000 to ensure that the children we serve are able to stay in school with needed materials for their second term.
