Apparently there is now a program out there, to educate kids regarding the usefulness of a college education. The kids can go visit the school (my middle school grandson got the pamphlet) and see what it is all about. The pamphlet included a simple explanation of career options and pay scales of workers, common laborers vs college graduates. It broke down how many weeks a waiter would have to work to buy a big screen tv, vs how many hours a college graduate will have to work to buy the same tv. It was insulting and very biased. This kind is propaganda from an institution of higher learning tells me two things: 1. Colleges and universities are in trouble of losing a lot of revenue 2. They are trying to get to our kids at a younger age. My grandson will not be attending.
