๐ ๐ ๐ A group of private companies have published ๐ฎ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ ๐ฏ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ encouraging state governments to implement policies involved in creating a digital ID system.

The blueprint was published by the ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, a group of 27 US companies, including Mastercard, Equifax, AT&T, and more.
The group either wants to stop the worry about ID fraud or to profit from preventing ID fraud by ๐ฝ๐๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ ๐ป๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐.
However, experts are warning that, "we are not simply establishing an identity to access basic social services. Digital IDs will become necessary to function in a connected digital world.
This has not escaped the attention of ๐ฎ๐๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐.
