Faith comes by hearing, but how can we hear? We hear God by seeking Him and standing in His presence. Scripture gives us some clues about how to seek God and stand in His presence. Deep respect for God is the beginning. (Proverbs 9:1 You can enter His presence with thanksgiving and praise, but unthankfulness and failure to glorify Him will keep you out of His presence. (Psalm 100:4, Psalm 22:3, Romans 1:18-22) Hold God in your knowledge at all times. (Romans 1:28, Proverbs 3:6) Trust God and not your mind. (Proverbs 3:5) That may sound like too much to consider, but it’s really simple. Just remember that ALL wisdom and knowledge are in Christ, and the human mind delivers exactly zero value.
