Spiritual Wickedness In High Places - Part IV
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
In this post, we will continue a message titled "Spiritual Wickedness In High Places." We will look at satan and the fallen angels and their influence over the earth.
3. Spiritual Wickedness Will Increase Because Satan And His Fallen Angels Will Lose Their Dominion In The Heavens And Will Be Cast On The Earth
In Revelation 12:7-11 it says "7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."
In this passage we see satan and his fallen angels are cast out of the heavens and will only be able to dwell on earth. As a result, evil will increase on the earth.
Jesus Christ has given us power over the devil and his fallen angels. In Luke 10:19 Jesus says "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
The serpent is the devil and satan as mentioned in Revelation 12:9 and the scorpions are the fallen angels. And Jesus told us in this verse, that we, as Christians, have power over them.
