Senator Johnson is sharing these findings with the public to promote transparency and to ensure that all entities investigating the assassination attempt have access to this information.
The five preliminary findings are as follows:

・The Secret Service did not attend a security briefing provided to local SWAT and sniper teams on the morning of July 13, 2024.

・Local law enforcement reported that communications were siloed, and there was no frequent direct radio contact with the Secret Service.

・Local law enforcement notified command about the suspect, Thomas Crooks, prior to the shooting and received confirmation that the Secret Service was aware of the notification.
