Why Is The Euro Important? - Part I
On January 1, 1999 one of the greatest fulfillments of Bible prophecy was starting to take place in Europe. The Columbian newspaper, published in Vancouver, Washington, featured an article titled "The Euro cometh: Four reasons Americans should care. " In this article it states
"After a thousand of years of strife and war, the nations of Europe will close the bloodiest century in their history by binding themselves more tightly into a United States of Europe."
Another piece of this article states: "The euro, Europe's new unit of currency will debut on Jan. 1, 1999, uniting 11 of Europe's disparate economies."
The 11 nations that joined on Jan. 1, 1999 were Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. At the time, Britain, Denmark, Sweden and Greece were also scheduled to join. These 11 nations became one nation economically.
In future posts I will share more about this topic.
