1. The European Union Financially
Another piece of this article stated "The euro could clobber the dollar. Euroland will be one of the most powerful economic forces on Earth, with an economy second in size only to that of the United States and with slightly more people."
A chart from this article (see below) shows a comparison between the EU-11 and the U.S. As you can see with just eleven of the fifteen European Union countries united, the new euro dollar will be a huge dominating force.
