These revelations should prompt critical examinations of other essential systems, particularly our voter registration databases.
Accurate voter rolls are fundamental to the integrity of our electoral process. However, studies have highlighted challenges in maintaining up-to-date records. A 2012 report by the Pew Center on the States found that approximately 24 million voter registrations in the United States—one in every eight—are either no longer valid or contain significant inaccuracies. In 2024, True the Vote’s research identified over 25 million inaccuracies based on residency alone. The situation is getting worse, not better.
Given DOGE's mandate to enhance governmental efficiency and your recent insights into federal data discrepancies, we urge you to extend your investigative rigor to the nation's voter registration systems. This initiative would not only bolster public confidence in our electoral processes but also ensure that electoral outcomes accurately reflect the will of the electorate.
