My Bible Verse of The Day - 3-17-25

Psalm 73:28 (NKJV) 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.

As we walk with God, we will experience many different things.

There will be joy, peace, strength, tranquility, hope, encouragement, and a reverence toward Him that we never have experienced before.

These are all characteristics of a relationship with Yahweh, our Redeemer.

As time passes, we will experience many things that will try to put space between us and Him.

Some of these will be outright attacks that are for one purpose; to create space between us and Him.

Other things will come along that are not intentional but can still create a divide; the smallest of gaps that can be the beginning of a larger divide if left unchecked.

We say this not to be negative, but to keep everyone alert and vigilant.

Because we live in the world, we will experience distractions. This is part of life.

Responsibilities, worries, relationships, careers, peer pressure, and many other things can try to draw us away from God. None of these things are necessarily sinful in themselves.

But if we allow them to become a divide between us and God, then they can become a problem.

It is our responsibility to see to it that they not become a problem.

We have an obligation to put forth the effort required to keep our relationship with Him strong and flourishing. This is our biggest responsibility. Everything else is secondary.

As with anything that we have done or been involved in for an extended period, if we allow it to it can become “ho-hum” and lose its spark. This includes our walk with God.

We must be diligent to dedicate ourselves to taking whatever steps are necessary to keep that flame between us burning brightly, that we do not falter and allow it to grow dim due to the cares of the world.
