Magnesium is critical to heart health, among a number of other things. In my case, magnesium supplements help control atrial fibrillation. But one problem not discussed here is that oral supplements can cause very loose bowels. It's good to get as much magnesium as you can from whole foods like avocados and raw pumpkin seeds, but you may find it difficult to do so consistently, and even then it may not be enough. A solution I've found is transdermal therapy -- rubbing a magnesium solution into your skin. Sprays are inexpensive and widely available. I get my spray and my oral supplements from Amazon. An online search will net more information about both transdermal therapy and the important role magnesium plays in your health. (Disclosure: I use a different oral supplement from the one Mercola sells.)
