Several of my friends have accepted the challenge to read one chapter of Luke a day starting on Dec 1. Since then I have periodically posted a thought or two on the day's chapter to encourage all of us to read this Gospel message. Today I posted this:
Luke 18 opens with instructions on prayer.
Persistent Prayer
Penitent Prayer
You also might enjoy comparing the gospels and how they cover the story of the rich young ruler. The “rich, young ruler” gets his title from both Matthew and Luke. Matthew reveals that he was young (Matthew 19:2, and Luke reveals that he was a ruler (Luke 18:18). Mark offers additional insight, telling us that this man ran and knelt before Jesus (Mark 10:17).
There are so many fascinating things you can discover about people, places, and incidents by reading your Bible.
