s Communism Dead? - Part V

If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and
warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and
taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall
be upon his own head. Ezekiel 33:3-4

4. The ministers preach a false peace and prosperity
Notice what Paul says about ministers who turned from the truth. In
Philippians 3:17-19 it says "17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and
mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example. 18 (For many walk,
of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they
are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose
God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly
things.)" The earthly messages today have perverted the minds of God's
people.

a) Prosperity
Many have believed the lie that gain is godliness. Notice what the apostle
Paul said in I Timothy 6:3-7. It says "3 If any man teach otherwise, and
consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud,
knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof
cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of
men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is
great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we
can carry nothing out."

In many churches the gospel of gain and greed are preached, and people are
running to hear these lies of the devil. But Paul said in the last part of
verse 5 "from such withdraw thyself." The Bible says the exact opposite of
what these false teachers are teaching today.

In II Timothy 4:1-4 it says "1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the
Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing
and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the
time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their
own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned
unto fables."

The apostle Paul tells of a time when the people will not endure sound
doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears. He also said that they will turn their ears from the
truth unto fables. We are living in this day now. People in many of the
churches today don't want to know what the Bible says. Instead they listen
to false teachers preaching things that are not in the Bible. We must pray
that as many as can will repent and that all pastors will preach the truth
of God's Holy Word.

In future posts I will share more about this topic.
