MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently gain from a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small services in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of market going it does require just a bit of lift which is available in the kind of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
