It was on the news this week that Mut 22 coins EA Sports announced that not only will Jackson be back in the game to play for the first time in a while after Madden NFL 15 in 1987, but Jackson will also be given the privilege of being an official Madden cover athlete. More than 35 years after his NFL career began with the 1987 season, Jackson can be seen on a digital cover of Madden NFL 22. Starting on Friday, Madden NFL players will be in a position to play alongside him online. EA Sports also teamed up with Nike to revive the famous sportswear brand's Bo Knows ad campaign by creating a digitally rendered version of his signature footwear known as his Nike Air Bo Turf in the gameplay.

Jackson will be the seven running backs to have been designated as a Madden cover athlete. He follows Eddie George (Madden 2001), Marshall Faulk (Madden 2003), Shaun Alexander (Madden 2007), Peyton Hillis (Madden 12), Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders (both Madden 25).

Prior to the unveiling of the cover, The Undefeated's Aaron Dodson caught up with Jackson to discuss Jackson's Tecmo Bowl days, how Bo Knows came to life in his Madden return, and much more.

What does it mean for you to be a cover player for the game, 35 years after your career started?

The idea has been in the works off madden 22 mut coins and on for years. The moment had to be perfect for my brand. It was working with the Madden people to iron things out, make sure to cross all the i's, dot all the t'sOnce we got that completed, the rest was just going to be a breeze. I realized that somewhere in my past, I did something right to be recognized as one of the greatest athletes from the past 30-years ago. Madden believes in me to do something like this.
