I am convinced a lot of RS RuneScape Gold players haven't actually experience too many MMORPG's because MTX is right from the gate/after tutorials. I'll admit they need to do a much better job of drip feeding, and its look. Hide it in menus, and push Solomons store a little more. Most games I've played have their cosmetic store front and center in the menus or as pop ups. I also think they should follow other MMO's concept of GIVING that the Runescape player lesser things from TH, such as little prismatic celebrities (put in a tool tip stating what it does, and how to acquire more when hovering over it) that way they can get an notion about what they're gonna be spending for when they want another star in the long run.
It wasn't literally the very first thing he did though. Turael was spoke to by him. And there were clear"I" icons, which are commonly known in games (and websites and programs ) to get information if they are clicked or hovered over. The wardrobe interface had advice he immediately closed and didn't bother to read. You're right its not necessarily the very first thing they see. But they did spend the first 10 mins off tutorial island seeking to navigate MTX so its still among the things that they did. That is still confusing and bad though?
They have to do a better job of leading people to the MTX rather than BAM! Right in your face BS that you gonna close. Right off the bat simply to get a taste of what there's to offer you. The entire"This one's about the house" way of presenting MTX will continue better in the long run with new Runescape players I think. Even with both keys.
They do provide you with a key or 2 when you're a member. However, I feel the overlap between people who play mmo's is big and who play mobile games. So I'm curious. Mobile games are sort of a different beast that make the men and women who can afford it sense just good enough that they are prepared to blindly invest the money very quickly and they continue and invest more or leave.I'm aware of the 2 free keys I mentioned, but they ought to plop one in the brand new Old School Runescape Gold players stock for a means to lure them into Treasure Hunter instead of blasting it right in front of their face right from the start. Are all about in your face the entire MTX item is. IMO this would he a better approach.
