The Wordle Game was created by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software developer who recognized his partner's affinity for word games and decided to create a word guessing game just for the two of them.

Designed exclusively for the two of them, the wordle game was created by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software programmer who was aware of his partner's interest in word games and decided to create a word guessing game for the two of them. In a pun on his surname, he named it Wordle, which means "wordle." Following that, he got a tremendous amount of love and support from his family and friends. Since then, Mr. Wardle has taken the decision to make it accessible to the public in October, which is scheduled to begin in October.

He went from having 90 players to having more than 300,000 players in the span of a few months' time. It is not only because of the plain design, which contains no commercials or flashing banners, but also because there are no pop-ups or money solicitations, that players appreciate the Wordle Game. The participants at each level, on the other hand, received a great deal of positive feedback since they were mentally competing against one another.
