SB 50 kills local planning rules, letting buildings tower over homes. The towers can include NO parking, NO space for trees, NO setbacks, and NO design standards. All that developers must do is include a few "affordable" rental units.

It's all about equality.

You can't get good teachers in violent neighborhoods, so they want those violent kids in your neighborhood.

The poor can afford to live in a nice neighborhood if your city refuses to enforce the written boarding home law and 20 or 30 people move in.

Your home is your investment. When the kids move out and you want to downsize your home's equity is a nice nest egg.
