Color Master Batch, is a new type of colorant for polymer materials, also known as Pigment Preparation. Color master batch is mainly used in plastics. Masterbatch is composed of three basic elements: pigment or dye, carrier and additive, and it is an aggregate made by evenly loading an extraordinary amount of pigment into the resin. It can be called Pigment Concentration, so its coloring power is higher than the pigment itself. By mixing a small amount of masterbatch with uncolored resin during processing, the coloring resin or product can reach the designed pigment concentration.
Black masterbatches are made by mixing dyestuff and the corresponding polyethylene-based resin carrier, then extruded by precision twin-screw extruder or rubber and plastic compounding machine with high energy, cold and cut into pellets.

Materials Of Black Masterbatch
(1) Ink method: As the name implies, it is the production method of ink color paste used in the production of masterbatches, i.e., through three-roller grinding, a low molecular protective layer is covered on the surface of the pigment. The finely ground color paste is then mixed with carrier resin and then plasticized by a two-roller plasticizer (also called a two-roller opener), and finally granulated by a single-screw or twin-screw extruder.
(2) Flushing method: The pigment, water and dispersant are sanded to make the pigment particles less than 1μm, and the pigment is transferred to the oil phase by the phase transfer method, and then dried to make masterbatches. Organic solvent is needed for phase transfer, as well as the corresponding solvent recovery device.
(3) Pinch method: After mixing the pigment and oil carrier, the pigment is made to enter the oil phase by pinching the pigment from the aqueous phase by using the characteristic of lipophilic pigment. At the same time, the surface of the pigment is covered by the oil carrier, which makes the pigment dispersed and stable and prevents the pigment from coagulation.
