It was love in the beginning sight, although the older members of the family felt that people didn't understand what love was, we knew it had been forever. We got engaged when I was 18 and Andre was 21 almost 30 years ago and married the year after, having a very traditional church ceremony."
"We have this type of wonderful relationship, which we don't ignore. Our marriage is made on respect and love. 39 years together and we still get butterflies in our tummies. We are each other's world and can’t possibly imagine life with no other. We have three amazing children, an attractive grandson, and we cherish every single day we have together."
"Andre and I each were built with a book for three months before the renewal – we'd write little messages inside them to each other, whenever we felt we'd something really special to express. These books, we read our new vows from, and so the following day in the lake's edge, we read our messages to one another."
"Well, so what can I say? More tears! Even though you understand how much your lover loves you, actually seeing it written down and browsed to you is very special. We are likely to carry on contributing to our books and every once in a while, make a night time to read these phones one another again."
"Our photographer was the astonishing Esme Whiteside. A wonderfully talented woman. It was important to both of us to capture our beautiful surroundings as well as Cours the eve Andre and I have. And wow, that they did."
