The Franchise Mode was the poster child for how the brand neglected its player base the previous year. The options this year are almost identical, which prompted a brief panic for players who like this kind of experience. It's a relief that there's nothing that was different. The upgrade options are superior to those in Face of the Franchise and the choices made throughout the year are relevant.

Hated: Those Shoelaces

It could fall in the "so bad that it's great" category. The shoe that is the signature of the game is so hilariously ugly that players can't not laugh. The character of the player even puts it on the camera, and is rubbing in the eyesore the... shoes, appear to... can be. Cut the toes off and put a platform over them and they just might be a great pair of heels. Of all the things not to like about the game, this one can make for some good memes. It's at least beneficial for madden 23 coins cheap some "What was they thinking?" giggles.
