This is a light build that has one key gimmick Elden Ring Runes: the Rivers of Blood katana's special skill, Corpse Piler, that unleashes a string of fast slashes that slice through enemies in a massive mass in front of the player.

The slashes also create fire damage and blood loss damage. This can swiftly cause the fatal proc of blood loss that will affect your enemies. This infamous status effect can cause hundreds of damages each time it activates, making it a surefire way to beat the most difficult PvP battles.

If you've coordinated your loadout in order to keep your total equipment weight down and you'll be able to maintain an advantage on your adversaries in most battles. In many cases, all you'll need to do is go towards the enemy and begin using the Corpse Piler.

If this isn't working initially the next step is to avoid rolling your way to safety, open the flask, and jump right back in for the killing. Is it a cheap play? Absolutely! However, it's still highly effective as of patch 1.04 and that's the most important thing.

If you happen to incorporate Faith magic into your builds, as we recommended for higher-level Rivers of Blood wielders, you can boost your stature by using incantations like Flame grant me strength, Dragonfire, and Swarm of Flies buy Elden Ring weapons. There are many different incantations that you can experiment with and you don't require magic to make this build work well for PvP, but you can experiment with if you'd like to modify your style of play.
