Sildenafil tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. Sildenafil tablets may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. Sildenafil tablets are a type of oral medicine called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. They work by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This helps you get and keep an erection. If you are taking sildenafil tablets and you experience a sudden decrease in vision or hearing, you should seek immediate medical attention. These tablets are available in a variety of strengths and colors. The colors are white, blue, green, yellow, and pink. Do not take sildenafil tablets if you are allergic to sildenafil or any other ingredient in the tablets. Do not take sildenafil tablets if you have a rare heart condition called long QT syndrome. Do not take sildenafil tablets if you have an allergy to nitrates. If you have a heart condition, such as angina, congestive heart failure, or uncontrolled high blood pressure, do not take sildenafil tablets unless your doctor tells you to. Sildenafil tablets may not be right for you if you have certain medical conditions, such as severe liver problems, low blood pressure, bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, or retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye). Before taking sildenafil tablets, tell your doctor about all your medical conditions. Sildenafil tablets are not for women or children. |
