I believe another consideration is dream. Both prot and blood can perform really tanking and at the open world. Blood is more about siphoning health and strength and healing yourself. It's got a great deal less harm as a 2-hander is used by it and is based on recovery itself. Prot is obviously much more about protects and damage mitigation. It's got excellent AoE and should you want the fantasy of a gold knight fighting demons and shit, you are going to like prot a lot. It's also got tons of much more and utility spells to come with auras coming back in Shadowlands. Both Paladins and DKs look fantastic to Shadowlands IMO. I haven't played much blood but I've played with a small prot and that I think it's fairly straightforward and enjoyable.

I'm a brand new player who enjoys the classes and started off as a tank. I did a few tanking in other mmos however they were easier to manage then wow. This put me off a bit and that I quested till Cataclysm where I tried queueing back (I had been told 1-60 dungeons are unnecessary/not to queue for them again/they can be overly convoluted and anything else.) This time I didn't get kicked instantly but later wiping. Fine. I'll do dungeons when I hit max.

Now I'm flat 120, after doing everything that update and black empire pursuit stuff to get the cloak as indicated sitting in ilvl425. As a side note I played with War Mode on for XP and I liked the pleasure except for becoming camped by skull level folks for no reason. But at par 120, I get annihilated with rogues with more health than me, and tanks nearing almost a million wellbeing. (Saw a passing knight with 900k-ish I presume.) How can I gear up like these, and question two, if I'm correct I think the answer is dungeons. But how do I get into them? I think that it's too late to say folks and haven't done any of these dungeons except a few for quests although I thought I would begin at endgme. I think I'd get booted. How do I start heroic/mythic?

It sounds like you have played your class if you have just done two dungeons. You should frankly simply play through all of the heroic dungeons first to find out what to do on every boss and the design of the dungeon and also the way to utilize your mitigation abilities. Solo leveling has no significance to running dungeons or raids so you will have to learn how rather than how to pursuit.
